Botanical Information: It is a plant species that lives as a parasite on moist tree trunks, at the bottom of rocks, and in the seas. They are flowerless spore plants containing chlorophyll, with parts called rhizoids. They can be filamentous, leafy, linear, tubular, macroscopic or microscopic. Seaweeds are used in medicine, pharmacy and industry, and are consumed as nutrients in Far Eastern countries such as China and Japan.
