Botanical Information: From the Oleander family; It is a plant that grows up to 5 meters tall. It does not shed its leaves in winter. It is densely branched. Its flowers are pink. Its fruits are capsule-shaped and poisonous. It should not be used in home remedies.
Places where it is grown: It grows in our lands where the Mediterranean climate prevails.
Known Composition: Its leaves contain resin, tannin, glucose, vitamin C and a glycoside called oleandrin. There are also effective substances in its shells and seeds.
Benefits:
If used externally, it relieves muscle pain. It is useful for scorpion and bee stings. If used in low doses, it strengthens the heart and causes diuresis. It drains the water accumulated in the body.
