Botanical Information: There are about 90 species from the Cruciferous family. It is a plant with varieties such as Gardencress, Meadowcress, Wintercress, Watercress, Wildcress (Roostercress), and Groundcress. It tastes bitter and has an unpleasant odor. The part called ” spicy cress seed ” and its leaves are used to season salads.
